Terms of Use

The rules that govern your access to and use of the MidwayEd continuing medical education platform.

Last updated: This policy is current as of the latest update.

Acceptance

By accessing or using the MidwayEd continuing medical education platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not access or use the platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, learners, faculty, and other users of the service. Your continued use of the platform after we update these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Accounts

You may need to create an account to enroll in and complete courses. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We recommend choosing a strong, unique password and keeping your contact details current.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering, and to keep that information up to date. We may suspend or disable accounts that are used in violation of these terms or that pose a risk to the platform or other users.

Course Content & Credits

MidwayEd provides accredited continuing education activities, including on-demand courses, series, live sessions, and related assessments. Credit is awarded only when you complete the requirements of an activity — typically viewing the content and passing any required assessment.

Course content is provided for continuing education purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical judgment, diagnosis, or treatment. Always use your own clinical judgment and consult authoritative sources when making patient-care decisions. Accreditation details, credit types, and disclosure information are shown on each course.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes not interfering with its operation, not attempting to gain unauthorized access, not sharing or distributing course content or materials, not misrepresenting your identity or credentials, not sharing your account with others, and not using the platform for any unlawful or harmful purpose.

We may monitor activity to protect the platform and its users, and we reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for conduct that violates these terms or that we determine in our discretion to be inappropriate.

Intellectual Property

The platform, including its content, courses, videos, assessments, graphics, text, and software, is owned by MidwayEd and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may access and use our content for your personal, non-commercial continuing education. Any other use — including reproduction, distribution, modification, or creation of derivative works — without our prior written consent is prohibited. You retain ownership of any submissions you provide to us, and you grant us a license to use them to operate and improve the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MidwayEd and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform or its content.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, and you use the platform at your own discretion and risk.

Changes

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any change, you should discontinue use of the platform.
